A striking and highly decorative set of five vintage natural rock crystal tower points, each individually formed from substantial quartz and presented on a custom giltwood hexagonal base. Each crystal is cut and polished into a tall, architectural six-sided obelisk form terminating in a faceted point, while retaining the naturally occurring internal veining, clouding, fissures, and mineral inclusions that give genuine rock crystal its distinctive character. The subtle variations from one tower to another emphasize the organic nature of the material, with light refracting through the crystals to create an elegant, luminous presence. The towers are mounted upon substantial hexagonal giltwood plinths with sloping sides, each embellished with small applied geometric decorative elements. The warm, softly aged gilding provides a sophisticated contrast to the cool transparency of the quartz and lends the group a distinctly luxurious, sculptural quality.
