This was in extremely poor shape when we found it, and covered in many layers of paint covering up thick heat rust. You can see a lot of pitting from decades of repainting without addressing the underlying rust problem. Now we've stripped this down to bare metal and removed all the rust and added several coats of flat black enamel paint. Glass shade was also long gone so we've found a new frosted glass cylinder. Inside is the refurbished vintage porcelain socket and modern ground wire.
