Sculptural bronze stool or side table featuring three angled legs supporting a thick, circular top by American modernist architect and artist, Gene Summers. He created this table during the late 1980s, while in France. The functional art object bridges the gap between modernism, brutalist texture, and organic design. Crafted using the ancient lost-wax casting method, the stool possesses a unique, heavily hand-wrought skin. The piece has a rich verdigris and charcoal patina.
