The front face showcases the iconic Fortuny Richileau pattern-a timeless pattern drawn from a 17th-century Italian damask, depicting heraldic strutting lions alternating with stylized cypress trees and delicate florets, the fabric is a shimmering metallic gilt gold ground and soft, ethereal aquamarine pattern. The contrast of the luminous gold and the soft, plush aqua is beautiful — changing with the light, shimmering like Venetian water. Every Fortuny fabric is still printed by hand in the original factory in Venice, Italy, using secret techniques invented by Mariano Fortuny over a century ago.
