Beautiful Papa Bear chair and ottoman by Hans Wegner manufactured by A.P. Stolen. There is a Danish Control tag to the underside of chair. Provenance: Purchased in 1963 from Anton Dam in Denmark, thence family descent. The chair, was in the original purple wool fabric when we acquired it, but we have subsequently reupholstered it in a lovely Schumacher Chester Wool in the Opal color. The fabric is 80% wool and 20% polyamide. The arm pads appear to be teak, and the legs are oak There is an incised number to the underside in the wood. There is no bottom covering. Our upholsterer left the original webbing but tightened it. We can arrange to have a dust duvet put on. The ottoman is marked and stamped fainting on the bottom. Please see the detailed pictures. Ottoman measures approximately 27.5 inches by 18 inches and is 15 inches tall.
