An enchanting and highly collectible pair of vintage Italian Murano art glass table lamps, in the manner of Barovier & Toso and Archimede Seguso, circa 1960s-70s. Each lamp is a masterclass in Murano craftsmanship. The body is a beautifully proportioned elongated amphora / gourd form with deep vertical ribbing - costolato - that catches and refracts light. The glass itself is a delicate, ethereal blush pink, cased and hand-blown with the signature Bullicante technique: thousands of tiny controlled air bubbles suspended within the glass, intermingled with a fine dusting of silver leaf and silver avventurina, as perfectly captured in your macro photos. The effect is like pink champagne with glittering silver stars trapped inside. The glass glows when lit. The mount is what makes this pair truly exceptional and justifies its value. The glass rests on a monumental, heavily carved Italian silvered metal base and crowned with a matching silvered collar and melon finial. As your superb close-ups show, this is not plain silver - it is a museum-quality distressed finish: heavy silver leaf over a rich red-orange bole, with intentional and time-worn cracking, flaking, chipping, and rub-through revealing layers of history. The base is a Baroque rocaille form with scrolled feet, acanthus leaves and cabochon
