An exceptional pair of mid-19th century Italian carved polychrome and gilt figural pedestal tables, dating to circa 1860 and conceived in the richly decorative Venetian tradition. Each table is supported by a finely carved standing figure modeled in an animated pose and dressed in elaborately decorated attire highlighted with polychrome paint and gilt accents. One raised hand supports the shaped tabletop above, while the opposing arm extends naturally alongside the figure, giving each pedestal a strong sculptural presence. The figures rise from elaborate tripod-form bases enriched with carved foliage, scrollwork, and ornamental detailing. The shaped tops feature molded and carved borders with a warm gilt and polychrome finish, completing the theatrical character of the composition.
