A futaoki ( 蓋置 ), or lid/ladle rest. This futaoki is made of glazed ceramic and bears hand-painted portrayals of Kiri leaf and flower along with Mum. The kiri leaf was symbolic of the Edo Shogunate and the Mum was associated with the Imperial line. Ceramic 20th century 2" x 2.2" (diameter, height) C-LR103
