Kama 釜 (pot) and furo 風炉 (Charcoal Braiser) set. Used for heating water with charcoal for tea ceremony. Crafted at Nanbu 南部 Ironware Shokodo 照光堂. The workshop that originally cast these pots closed around 2009; however, another Nambu Tekki 南部鉄器 workshop has moved to the location where the Shokodo workshop in Morioka Handicraft Village once was, and craftsman who used to make iron kettles by himself at the Shokodo works there now.
