An exceptional pair of 19th century French gilt bronze and deep cobalt blue porcelain candelabras, masterfully executed in the opulent Louis XVI and Napoleon III taste. Richly ornamented with finely cast gilt bronze mounts, each candelabrum rises from a monumental cobalt blue porcelain urn embellished with elegant ram's head handles and lavish neoclassical detailing. The intricately sculpted upper branches blossom into an exuberant bouquet of lilies, daffodils, and scrolling foliage, supporting candle arms surrounding a central candle socket. Every branch is individually hand-cast and chased, creating a dramatic naturalistic composition that exemplifies the extraordinary artistry of French bronze makers during the 19th century.
