An exceptional and highly decorative Russian malachite and gilt bronze decorative box, dating to the early 20th century and embodying the opulence of Imperial-inspired design. The rectangular form is richly figured in malachite, displaying vivid natural banding in deep emerald and vibrant green tones. Each surface reveals unique organic patterns, characteristic of fine Russian hardstone craftsmanship. The box is adorned with finely cast gilt bronze mounts, including a central classical mask framed by scrolling foliage, as well as rosettes and ornamental detailing across the lid. Raised on elegant bronze feet, the piece reflects a strong neoclassical influence associated with Russian decorative arts
