Architecturally conceived in the form of a romantic Gothic pavilion, the cage displays extraordinary hand-carved detailing throughout. The steeply pitched roof is clad in carved shingle-like panels and rises to a lantern tower crowned by a turned finial. Flanking gabled sections with pierced tracery echo ecclesiastical window forms, reinforcing its Gothic inspiration. The façade features elaborate fretwork, arched cathedral-style openings, turned columns, and finely executed lattice panels. The warm tone and depth of the mahogany enhance the sculptural quality of the carving, giving the piece both architectural gravitas and visual warmth.
