Striking and scholarly pair of monumental late 19th century Italian patinated bronze busts, depicting the great classical philosophers Heraclitus (left) and Archytas (right). Both figures are rendered with expressive facial modeling, deeply carved hair and beards, and dramatic draped garments—capturing the timeless gravitas associated with ancient Greek portraiture. Each bust is presented on a substantial turned marble pedestal base, adding height and architectural presence.
