An impressive pair of very large French mirrors, dating to the late 19th century, exquisitely crafted with painted and water-gilt surfaces that beautifully highlight their richly carved neoclassical ornamentation. Each frame is adorned with garlands of flowers, urns, acanthus scrolls, and classical medallions, rendered in deep relief and finished with a sophisticated blend of matte paint and luminous gold leaf.
