An exquisite pair of decorative pillows designed by Melissa Levinson for Miamar Home, showcasing rare 19th century European crests richly embroidered in metallic thread and silk. Each antique appliqué has been carefully hand-applied onto a sumptuous warm brown velvet ground, creating a striking juxtaposition between historic ornament and contemporary refinement. The heraldic motifs—vivid with jewel-toned silk, gilded threadwork, and intricate hand embroidery—serve as the focal point of each pillow, evoking the grandeur of old-world European textiles and aristocratic insignia. No two are exactly alike, offering a unique and collectible quality. The pillows are finished on all sides with a luxurious multicolored tassel fringe, thoughtfully selected to echo the rich palette of the crests—deep reds, burnt orange, olive, and golden tones—adding movement, texture, and a playful contrast to the tailored velvet. The reverse is executed in the same plush velvet, maintaining a cohesive and refined presentation.
