A richly textured pair of decorative pillows created from fragments of 18th century French tapestry, thoughtfully reimagined by Los Angeles antiques dealer and designer Melissa Levinson. Each pillow features a central tapestry panel depicting classical floral urn and foliate motifs woven in muted tones of celadon, parchment, moss, and deep indigo—hallmarks of traditional French Aubusson and verdure weaving. The historic textile fragments are framed with antique gilt trim, lending subtle luminosity and architectural structure to the composition. The surrounding body of each pillow is upholstered in a luxurious dusty blue silk velvet, whose soft pile provides a beautiful contrast to the dense handwoven tapestry. The reverse is finished in a refined natural linen, allowing the historic textile to remain the focal point while providing a tailored, understated backing. Each pillow is fitted with a hidden zipper closure and a plush down-filled insert for exceptional comfort and fullness.
