Pair of Sigurd Ressell for Vatne Armless Lounge Chairs and Ottoman. Italian distressed leather and beech veneer bentwood frame. True to the original design, these chairs do not recline further or swivel. In 1968, Sigurd Ressell became the chief designer for Norwegian furniture company Vatne, and his seminal Falcon Chair (1970) soon followed. Originally, the hammock-like chair was produced with a chrome frame, but was redesigned with a lighter laminated base in 1974 for easier distribution. This is a wonderful addition to any art deco home, or the modern contemporary home.
