Original 1968 Southern California Desert Oil Painting, signed by artist Boots Cormaci ********************************************************************************************* This colorful desert scene hails from Southern California 1968. Large Oil on Canvas, with original gilt decorated wood frame and llnen fabric mat. Clearly a charming loving depiction of a familiar desert landscape, perhaps in Palm Desert or Anzo Borrego. Cacti such as blooming Century Plants and Teddy Bear Cholla dot this landscape of vivid colors in sand, green, orang depict three diffe white and yellow. The purple mountains in the background and cloudy sky create a serene mood. This painting is lovingly inscribed on the reverse: "Made for Wanda Woolley." by Boots Cormaci. Doris "Boots" Cormaci was an amateur painter who lived in Southern California, and married golf pro Frank Cormaci,and lived in Los Alamito, CA for most of her years. Painted in the style of outsider art in 1968, this is unrestored, with the original beautiful gilded frame and fabric mat, the backing is paper and is deteriorating with the time.
