Magnificent 1980s vintage embroidered silk velvet evening two pieces gown, vest and skirt The stunning beaded and sequined evening custom made black silk velvet blazer is detailed with gold of micro seed glass beads, gold tone round beads, gold lame threads as well as multi-colors and rhinestones embellished on both sleeves. The cuffs, neckline and waist are banded with gold micro sequins and beads into a dazzling pattern of scallops and rosettes. The skirt beaded with gold beads on silk chiffon and fully lined. Many designers in the late 1960s till today turned for inspiration to the Middle East, India and Morocco. This three pieces set gown is inspired by the Indian wedding gown. Very reminiscent of 1930s evening jackets.
