About

Offered as a matching pair, these handcrafted round upholstered stools combine Moroccan-inspired color, Art Deco geometry and the relaxed glamour of late 20th-century American interiors. Made in the United States in 1980, the stools feature a compact circular form covered in richly patterned blue and brown fabric. Their warm palette and clean cylindrical silhouettes allow them to complement both highly decorative rooms and more restrained contemporary spaces. Designed as versatile accent seating, each stool can function as a Moroccan-style pouf, upholstered ottoman, hassock, footstool or convenient pull-up seat. Their manageable scale makes them particularly useful in a living room, library, bedroom, dressing room or home office. Positioned beside a sofa or lounge chair, they provide comfortable footrests; placed opposite a cocktail table, they create additional seating without visually overwhelming the room. A decorative tray may also be placed on top when one of the stools is used temporarily beside a chair or sofa. The blue and brown upholstery gives the pair a distinctive decorative character while remaining easy to coordinate with natural woods, leather, brass, bronze and neutral textiles. The design reflects several complementary influences: the streamlined circular forms associated with Art Deco furniture, the saturated colors and textile traditions of Moroccan interiors, and the comfortable, low-profile seating popular during the 1970s and early 1980s. This combination makes the stools suitable for Moorish, Hollywood Regency, Bohemian, eclectic, modernist and globally inspired interiors. These lightweight upholstered stools are also practical for rooms where seating arrangements change frequently. Each weighs approximately 10 pounds and can be moved easily from one area to another. They are an appealing solution for entertaining, allowing additional guests to be accommodated without introducing large or cumbersome furniture. In a professional setting, the pair could be used in a boutique, hotel suite, restaurant lounge, private club, dressing area or designer showroom. Each stool measures approximately 18 inches in diameter and 18 inches high, with an 18-inch seat height. Their compact proportions make them especially useful in smaller rooms, while the strong color and pattern give them enough visual presence for larger spaces. The pair can be displayed together as coordinated seating or separated within the same room to create balance and continuity. Handcrafted in the United States, the stools date to 1980 and are categorized as late 20th-century seating. The principal material is fabric upholstery over a lightweight internal structure. Their handcrafted construction and decorative textile covering give each stool more personality than a conventional mass-produced ottoman. The stools are offered and priced as a set of two. Additional matching stools or pairs may be available, making this design particularly useful for a large seating arrangement, hospitality installation or interior design project. Please inquire about the current available quantity before purchasing multiple pairs. The pair is in good vintage
