An exceptional pair of monumental Moroccan Moorish wall torchiere sconces, handcrafted in Morocco. Standing nearly six feet tall, these dramatic architectural wall lights were designed to create a palatial presence in a grand hallway, entry, stairwell or double-height interior. Each elongated torch-form sconce is handcrafted from brass with a warm, bronze-toned patina. Intricate pierced filigree ornament, jewel-toned glass accents, a crown-like upper border and a delicate lower finial highlight the traditional Moroccan metalwork. The distinctive wall-mounted construction gives each sconce its sculptural profile: the upper body projects away from the wall while the long tapered lower section angles back, bringing the bottom finial close to the wall. This intentional mounting angle should be clearly shown in the photographs. These oversized Moroccan brass sconces would make striking architectural accents in a Moorish, Spanish Colonial, Mediterranean, Hollywood Regency or eclectic luxury interior. Their monumental scale is also well suited to boutique hotels, restaurants and hospitality projects. Sold as a pair. Two pairs are presently available, allowing four matching sconces to be installed along a large hallway or gallery. The sconces are not presently wired for electricity. They may be used decoratively with candles or professionally electrified. Any conversion and installation should be completed by a qualified licensed electrician. Good vintage
