The dictionary table and reading-book rest are of wood, usually finished in the natural grain, with hard- oil polished surface. Remaining parts are of metal, of a light and artistic design, finished in black polished japan, ornamented with first grade of French gold-leaf bronze. The book rest is fitted with the Holloway nickel-plated adjuster and leaf-holders; the casters strongly riveted into the feet of the base.
