Solid Brass Face Plate with Jack & Jill Style 2" x 6-3/8" x 3/16" Back set 2-3/4" Box size 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" Hub spread (knob hub to privacy hub) 2-5/8" center to center Handing reversable History. Mortise locks have been used as part of door hardware systems in the US since the second quarter of the eighteenth century. In these early forms, the mortise lock mechanism was combined with a pull to open the unlocked door. Eventually, pulls were replaced by knobs.
