Flag Halyard Chair by Hans J. Wegner. The Flag Halyard chair is a nod to the early modernists such as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Marcel Breuer. The designer Hans J. Wegner, a trained cabinetmaker, proves with the stainless steel structure of the chair that he had not mastered only wood, his favorite material, but also the design in chromed steel tubes. The chair is made with 240 continuous meters of halyard flag. The halyard is made of natural flax rope around a strong enough static leather inlay to avoid unnecessary
