A charming pair of antique armchairs by Ernesto Basile with distressed painted oak frame, woven rush seats and netting on the arms. These chairs were part of Basile's 'Carretto Siciliano' furniture series, displayed at the 1 906 Milan Exhibition, and inspired by the colorful folklore motifs of traditional Sicilian carts.
