The slight lean of the chair back and front shaped legs create a simple, direct presence to the upholstered seat with its crossbar dip and the inset backrest in a blue-on-blue stripes. The artisan at work in their atelier is a beautiful thing to see. Soothed by the hammering of a passing rainstorm, the skilled hands are undeterred in shaping the chair’s legs.
