A hand-chip-carved tramp art wall cabinet finished in a layered blue paint that has worn through to reveal the warm wood beneath, giving the piece a wonderfully lived-in patina. A glazed door opens to reveal two interior shelves, with a single drawer below fitted with a simple turned wood pull. The crested, asymmetrical crown and dense triangular carving throughout make this a striking and unusually large example of the folk art tradition.
