American Machine Age "Guardsman" desk lamp, designed in 1936 by Bert A. Dickerson for Faries Manufacturing Company of Decatur, Illinois. The lamp features a mushroom shade that rests atop a flared trumpet neck. The lamp has the original "Normandy Bronze" lacquered finish over the solid brass and steel lamp.
