Angel Pazmino (attr) / Muebles de Estilo Equador / Equador Mid-Century, hand tooled, leather patchwork ottoman or poof, attributed to Angel Pazmino. Beautiful and intricate designs adorn every side. Angel Pazmiño, to whom this piece is attributed, was a visionary furniture designer from Quito, Ecuador who is widely renowned for his ability to seamlessly blend traditional Ecuadorian craftsmanship with modern design principles. His passion for woodworking began at an early age, and after years of apprenticeship, he honed his craft before opening his own workshop in the 1960s, Muebles de estilo Equador. This piece, a stunning example of the Andean designer's visionary blending of styles, is in original condition with visible wear and patina. Wear is consistent with its age and use, including scratches, leather loss and one repaired rip on the bottom. The leather is very stiff and dry, using the handle is not recommended. This piece is intended for decoration rather than use.
