Raphael Raffel / Honore Paris / France A Raphael Raffel designed, 1970's, made-to-order natural leather Croissant Sofa for Honore Paris. Raphael Raffel (1912-2000), who trained at the École des Beaux Arts, was a well-known interior decorator whose work was collected by the likes of Josephine Baker and other notables of the day. Each one of these sofas was bespoke and made to the wishes of the customer. The leather is In original condition with visible wear and patina. Some of the old stuffing from previous owner has been replaced. Wear is consistent with its age and use, including some scratching.
