Geoffrey Harcourt / Artifort / Netherlands Acclaimed British Mid-Century designer Geoffrey Harcourt designed the "F588" Swivel Chair for Dutch manufacturer Artifort in 1967. Its inviting shape was inspired by a girlfriend who would like to sit down curled up in cross-legs. His design combined all the comfort of an easy chair with enough width to accommodate any seating position. The upholstery contrasts handsomely with the white enameled metal swivel bases. Newly reupholstered in asoft chenille textile (Knoll Venue, Riverbank). Bases have been touched up. Both chairs are in otherwise original condition, with visible wear consistent with its age and use, including slight twisting of one shell. Sold and priced individually.
