Gerard van den Berg / Montis / Netherlands An early Gerard Van Den Berg desk for Montis. The design is almost Saporiti meets Sottsass in appearance, and the table is expertly crafted from handsome burled wood with cast aluminum turned legs. Van den Berg is internationally renowned for his innovative sofas and chairs, and this is an early indication of the forward-thinking approach he brings to his designs. The year is unknown, but it is most likely the mid-1970s. In original condition, with visible wear including scratching and cracking to the finish. Wear is age appropriate.
